refers to a 1961 exhibition, developed from a 1959 Ford Foundation Program for Theater Design, that showcased innovative theater designs. The exhibition featured eight distinct design concepts, each developed by a team of architects and designers collaborating on different approaches to theater space and performance. These included concepts for simultaneous film and live action, open-air theaters, dance theaters, and more.
