About
Eros was an American quarterly magazine that published just four issues in 1962. Described by The New York Times as a “stunningly designed hardcover ‘magbook’,” it explored a wide spectrum of sexuality through the lenses of history, politics, art, and literature. Emerging at the cusp of the Sexual Revolution, Eros focused on love and sex while also offering commentary on contemporary politics and culture.
Our favorite feature: a photographic essay by renowned photographer Garry Winogrand, titled Love in the Subway—a raw, cinematic glimpse into fleeting intimacy beneath the streets of New York.
